Flower before dawn is a composition to mark my relationship with sound. Using 361 separate CT scan images of my ear and head profile taken as part of the pre-operative procedure, along with my amateur grasp of music theory, I created this audio-visual work to reverberate hope. I’ve used a manual kalimba (novice player) to come up with the initial melody and used DAW and virtual instruments for the final production.
